Ketosis

Greetings once more,

So I’ve decided to venture down the path of a Ketogenic Diet once again, I’ve already reached a mild state of Ketosis and I’m feeling amazing, well.. apart from the metallic tasting gums I’m doing fantastic! When not on this state I always feel so down, frustrated and brain fogged to the maximum level possible.

With this I’ve also stopped eating Gluten, after not realizing for a long time that I was Gluten intolerant I have become much more relaxed, less autistic in a sense.. If that means anything anyway.

Apart from that all is going good, I’m at a much healthier stage in my life where I’m lifting 3-4 times a week (hopefully to go up) and eating a decent diet.

Just thought I’d keep you updated, I’ll give you some more information in regards to Ketosis within the short future.

All the best,

– Jon

Minecraft And Other Lovely Things

Minecraft Logo

You know what a fantastic game is? Minecraft.

Simply Minecraft is thee most creative game I have ever played and I can seriously waste my life playing it, it’s just that good.

Recently I’ve posted up a server for my friends to join so we can create an enormous village.  I must have spent quite a few nights just improving this village on my non-productive days and It really has been a complete and utter joy!

When it comes to GameModes I much prefer playing survival than creative, although once you get to diamond it is a bit of a bore and becomes more like creative, but it’s still a lovely experience. One of the best moments on the game must definitely be your first night on a new world. It can go so well, or it can be devastatingly frustrating.

So apart from plowing down on Minecraft I can say that most of the stuff I’ve been doing has been revolved around Habit RPG. That game (or lifestyle I guess) has sincerely changed my life around for the better. Giving me productive goals and the like is fantastic as my body and soul seem to crave pix-elated rewards to make my character look much better.

Anyway guys I’m signing off. Good night my sweet children.

Being Careful At The Gym

Hi Guys,

Just thought i’d give you a lovely story..

So today after hitting our chest at the GYM once more me and my gym partner decided to wrap it up with some Triceps exercises. We decided to start with a Tricep press (I’m not sure that’s the correct term) and then follow it up with some single dumbbell overhead presses. I decided to go second as I did on the previous muscle group. My gym buddy decides to go first and hit it up with the 17.kgs, after finishing his set (unfortunately with my assistance) he decided that it was too heavy for him and followed to grab the 15kgs (leaving the others at the bench). I grabbed my 12.5kg’s and proceeded to complete my set.

After i’d done my set my buddy started to use the 15’s he then proceeded to complete his set. This is where the interesting part comes into play and it’s all about placing weights down after you’ve used them. Personally I like to put my weights back onto my chest and then proceed to put them onto the floor either by squatting or placing the down using the strength from my arms. My buddy however prefers to just drop them down as it’s much easier and normally doesn’t cause us any trouble.

So after he completes his set he proceeds to drop the weights onto the floor, not knowing that the 17.5kgs are still next to the bench, shortly after he drops we hear a crunch and his finger splits open, pouring out with blood. Well.. maybe it wasn’t that bad. But it was still quite the shock and most likely quite painful for him too :(.

So there you have it, a pure, short story indicating why you should go easy and slowly at the gym. Story time over! Take your time and put those weights down properly! Or at least look before you start the set!

Later Guys,

Become Productive

Greetings,

So lately I’ve been an utter and complete slob, I’ve not done much in regards to strengthening my own self or even much productive activities what so ever.

Recently I’ve been playing a game called Habit RPG, which is all about becoming productive in the highest sense and about turning your life into a game to allow you to achieve better results in life in order to be be happier with yourself/life. Over the past week that I’ve been playing this game I can tell you that I’ve never been so productive in my life.

Due to myself become more active and doing things that will benefit me in the future I have really never felt better, and that’s why I say to you. BECOME PRODUCTIVE!

I think to myself, what is the point of not doing so? What purpose in life is there if you are not living it to your fullest. If you’re not accomplishing what you want to achieve? True that some may be much happier with a more simple-life, one that is based on getting up every day and working, then proceeding to go home, make food and go to sleep. But a lot of us want much more in life. We want to achieve the best results, we want the most money, we want to be the happiest and want to make the people around us happy as well.

Graph going up

Why not become better?

So I invite you to do something about your life, it doesn’t have to be much to get you going. Hell I’ve even been content with doing small things such as writing on this blog or practising my coding/gym outside of work. Get something done and I guarantee you will feel much better about yourself and the life you are living.

Let me know your thoughts, do you agree or disagree? Give me your opinion on things 😉

Once again it’s been a pleasure writing to you.

Regards,

– Jon

Buying In Bulk

Hello!

I’ve always thought that stores such as Tesco and Sainsburys can sometimes be a little pricey in regards to certain foods. But now my dreams of lower prices have come true with our new Makro shopping routine.

MakroPreviously I’d buy one pack of Smoked Bacon for around 3-4 pounds at a time, seems decent as it lasts for the week. However after venturing out to Makro we found that when buying Bacon you are able to obtain 3 X 14 Slices of smoked bacon for only 5 pounds! Nuts right? Some foods i must admit are still expensive such as chicken or tuna but it is still a fantstic money saver. I believe the only thing that puts a downfall on it all is the fact that you are not able to obtain any ‘Loyalty Points’ from the company to spend at a later date.

Other than that I’ve not much too tell, I know it’s a short one but I want to keep updating this blog as much as I can!

Signing off, Jon

Life Update Version 2

Hello!

Once again I must apologize for my absence, I’ve currently been doing all sorts including renting out my parent’s home and sharing it with one of my best friends. The last few months have been pretty testing for me due to not having any real experience with living on my own, but after all of the moving, cleaning and lovely shenanigans I’ve finally become dependent.

So apart from that I’d like to tell you about 2 games I’ve been playing recently. Both are really opposites of each other in terms of productivity. One of these games takes you into a world of clicking and cookies, whereas the other tempts you to become more productive.

Cookie Clicker

So the first game is what is known as Cookie Clicker. Once introduced by my house mate I’ve been in a romantic relationship with it ever since.  The objective of the game is too simply collect cookies. How do you do this you say? By simply clicking a giant cookie! But that’s not all that this game is.

Cookie ClickerYou start off by only accessing cookies through clicking but soon after you are able to purchase a friendly grandma to assist your cookie clicking desire.

Once you’ve got your grandmas you are also able to purchase other cookie gaining processes such as Portals, Prisms, Alchemy Labs and even a Time Machine. All of these are at your disposal to produce more and more cookies. You can continue this until you are earning trillions of cookies a second. Once done you can even prestige to go to the next level of Cookie Earning. This is perhaps one of the most addictive and thrilling games I’ve played throughout my life.

Habit RPG

Habit RPG

The second game is what is known as Habit RPG. This game suggest productivity by ‘Gamifying’ your life. The game consists of your Avatar earning gold through your real self doing productive things such as going to the gym, practicing coding or even brushing your teeth dependent on what you want to improve.

I’ve been playing this game for a few days now and I have to say I find it absolutely brilliant. I’ve already increased my productivity and I’ve even found a lust to do productive things just to earn more gold. If you want to change the way you think in regards to Productivity Thinking then you should seriously give this a try. I highly recommend it.

Anyway guys, I should now be posting on this Blog more often and will continue to do so daily. So if you’ve got any topics you would like me to write about then please send me a message!

Regards

What I’ve Been Up To

Hello you lovely people,

So I’d just like to make a post regarding my recent activities.

As you may see I haven’t posted in awhile, this is due to the fantastic fact that it has been the Christmas period and I’ve just been so involved that I haven’t got round to making a post.

About a week or so ago my PC decided to have a registry error. Due to this I have decided that EVERYTHING will now be backed up. I’m uploading all my photos to Google Photos/Drive and making sure that everything is stored up in the cloud. I think the only thing I currently have on my PC is just my site folder which is synced with the online version (the folder is for Sublime Text’s Local Copy). I’ve considered using dropbox, but I feel that I am much more satisfied with everything being stored in the same place.

Do you guys have any preferences with online storage? Let me know!

All the best guys,

– Jon

Gym Progress

Yo Guys,

So after that post below I thought I would just give an update of how it’s currently going for me in the Gym!

So I’ve been at it for 7 months now and I’ve built some lovely muscle mass, but now that it’s starting to get to the new year I have decided it’s properly best to get the diet going one again.

Diets

I’ve tried many diets in the past, High Carb diets to low Carb diets, Ketogenic, Atkins, Glycolysis and all those lovely theories mixed together. The only problem I seem to have is when in the moment to stick to my diet (When having the option to eat something …. juicier) I always seem to pick the latter and go stuff that puts me to shame a few hours later (But damn does it taste good). It seems that I can’t think when it comes to food, I get mad cravings for Burgers or Donner Kebabs that I really just can’t resist. Hoping most get this. It’s not like I’m overweight and have had years of experience of filling myself to the brim of junk food, I just think the initial transaction from eating whatever I wanted to restricting myself is taking me some time to get used to.

Currently I’m slowly planning on going to a deficit of 400 calories, I’ve been told that this is a good value to go for as it is not too extreme but you get a good rate of weight loss from doing so. I’m just looking to lose that stomach fat I’ve been dragging around for the past 2 years (but of course this is the last place to lose fat). What do you guys think the best diet for you was? I’ve tried Keto but unfortunately i’m surrounded by Carb Lovers who are against the idea of digesting large amounts of fat rather than Carbs (Thinking that they are the holy grail). So currently I’m going for a Protein>Carb>Fat diet, were as shown the majority I take in is protein.

Workouts:

So my workouts are going pretty good, I’m always trying to hit that last ‘epic’ repetition. When I’m done I feel like I could literally lift a truck off the ground. The only problem with my workouts is that I can’t stand machines. I would rather do everything with free weights (Or even body weight exercises), It just seems more natural to do so and more beneficial in the long run.

My workout consists of:

Biceps:
Seated Hammer/Bicep Curls
Bicep Curls with Barbell (Drop Set)
Bicep Pull ups

Chest:
Incline Dumbbell Press
Bench Press
Chest Dips
Rear Delt Flies

Legs:
Back Barbell Squats
Stiffed Leg Dead lifts
Calf Extensions (On Leg Press)
Leg Extension (Machine)

Triceps:
Tricep Dips
Skull Crushers
One arm cable pull down (I’ve no idea what this is called formally)

Back:
Wide Pull Ups
Wide Lateral Pull Down (Machine)
Back Rows (Machine)
Middle Back (Machine)

Shoulders:
Dumbbell Shoulder Press
Upright Rows
Dumbbell Front Raise
Cable Flys

So that’s my workout plan, let me know what you think or something I can change to replace those machines ? 🙂 I’m currently doing 8-10 Rep Range (10 on current weight if I cannot do 8 on the next one) With 1 minute breaks and I’m at the Gym 3 times a week! Give me a quick comment to tell me what I can improve!

Good night all.

– Jon
